I really like the Power SDR software that they created for their own SDR Radios. As it is open source software and the creator of the SpectraView software for the SDRIQ radio has challenged his users to modify the Power SDR software to work with the SDRIQ I have decided to look into what would be involved in doing so. I also would like to port the Power SDR software to Linux but I fear that would be a scary big project but I am going to look into what it might take anyway.
So far I have downloaded the latest version of Power SDR to a Windows laptop and sucesfully compiled and ran it. It appears to have a USB interface library so thats a good thing. My next task is to take a look at what is going to be required to incorporate the SDR IQ into this software now that I have a working platform.

Have you gotten anywhere with using PowerSDR with the SDR-IQ receiver?
Joe
Hi Joe,
No I haven’t. Too many other things on my plate right now but I did download the source code and set up an environment that allows me to compile the code. So when I get some free time will be looking into it. What is your interested in this ? Did you want to contribute to the coding effort ? If you are just interested in some software to use I have heard a lot of good things about winrad software here… http://www.winrad.org/ although I haven’t tried it myself. There are also several Yahoo groups dedicated to SDRIQ and Power SDR if you are interested. You can just go into Yahoo and search for either term.
